It is common problem for laptop user. To solve this laptop not charging problem, follow this steps.
Laptop not charging solution 1 : Power Button
We do a common a mistake for charging the laptop. When we are in rush, we forget to switch on the power button from power socket. The power button in socket is look like below picture
Make sure that you have switch on power button after plugin the laptop AC Adapter.

If your laptop battery become death, you will not able to charge your laptop. So try to check your laptop battery first.
You will see cross sign in your computer If your battery does not work properly after plugin the AC adapter.
Extra tips : To find out the reason for laptop not charging, take out the battery from laptop. Then start your laptop with AC adapter. I mean direct power supply. If your laptop is working fine with Ac Adapter then you need to change your laptop battery.
Laptop not charging solution 3 : AC Adapter
Laptop will not charge if your AC Adapter not working properly. I mean if your Laptop AC Adapter become non functional. AC Adapter look like below picture
To confirm that it is your AC Adapter problem for charging laptop or not, you can try to change your AC adapter. After changing the AC Adapter, If your laptop start charging it means old laptop AC Adapter was faulty.
Laptop not charging solution 4 : Mother Board DC Jack
Laptop Battery and AC Adapter are working fine but still not charging laptop. Now it is high time to check your laptop power jack connection. laptop Power jack connection actually located in motherboard shown in below picture
If your laptop DC jack not working properly you will not able to charge your laptop battery. So you need to replace this DC Power Jack from Motherboard.
This DC Power Jack is fixed with motherboard. You need to be have knowledge on how replace this DC adapter. If you don’t have any knowledge in HardWare replacement please seek a computer hardware engineer to do this job.
