Find computer model and serial number

Computer model number helps user to find out the details of particular laptop or desktop computer from manufacturer website. It does not only helps user to know the details of computer, it also helps to get support like downloading drivers, technical helps and so on.

How to find computer model number in my computer?

You can easily find your computer model number from the backside cover of your computer in Desktop Computer and front side in Laptop Computer. See below pictures

But what happen if you don’t have computer model number as well as serial number in computer. Don’t worry!

If you don’t have computer model number as well as serial number in your computer, you can easily get it from dos command. Follow this below steps :

1. Click start and go to RUN and type CMD then click OK.  Shown in below picture

2. New Command Prompt window will open. Type wmic csproduct get name and press ENTER. Computer will show your computer model. Shown in below picture

Name : K52F is my computer Asus Laptop Computer Model Number

How to find computer serial number ?

To find your computer serial number type wmic bios get serialnumber and press ENTER. Computer will show you the serial number. Shown in below picture
