This particular program serves to certify qualified project managers, allowing them to get recognized by many companies. Certified CompTIA Project+ managers should possess the necessary skills and capabilities to complete projects on time with the budget they are given, and will also be recognized by many companies like CDW, Alltel, Dell, Ricoh, and even the US Department of State. Candidates who are eligible for this certification are the ones who are primarily in the field of management, including project manager, business analyst and project team member.

The CompTIA Project+ test

The test for this certification will cover a number of topics. This includes pre-project setups, planning, project execution, change, control and communication, and project closure. There are no particular requirements or prerequisites needed to take this test, though it is suggested that the candidate should have 1 year of experience in managing, directing or participating in projects that are small or medium in scale. The certification is very cost effective and can even be completed and acquired in a reasonable amount of time. It is a rather easy certification to get compared to some of CompTIA’s other specialized certifications.

As for the test itself, it will consist of 100 questions and it must be completed in 90 minutes. The passing score for the test will be 710, on a scale of 100-900. The exam code is PK0-003, and it is currently available in 3 different languages: English, Japanese and Korean.
